New Loot = Long Post.

Over the past week or so I had packages on there way and I missed a delivery because of work.  Usualy with the type I payed for they will try for at least three days in a row.  They never came back after the first attempt.  This is not normally an issue except I had to leave for ACen on Thursday and did not have time to pick it up on my own.  While I was away my mother picked up my package and received all the others during the weekend.

As for Acen, fun con but was not able to do much with the volunteer work I had to do in order to be able to go.  I did meet Yumiko Kobayashi (sp?) which was like a dream come true.  When it comes to special guest at conventions I like to treat them like guests.  Getting an autograph is like a social experiment for me because growing up, and even now sometimes, I had great anxiety.  With autographs the person is required to meet you for a few seconds and can choose to forget you after.  It does not matter to much if you make an idiot of yourself, you're not the only one.  In the process you get to meet someone who works in a field of interest you respect and support.  Conventions themselves are full and crowded with all kinds of people but we all have one thing in common to bring us together which is our hobby.  They are where I first started asserting myself to get use to being around people, then a job, and so forth.

Well that turned into a different rant.  Anyway, with what was stated above I do not really 'fan' over guests but she was someone I never thought we be in the same building.  I love her male voice work and one character she did was from an anime/manga which is a top favorite.  I stayed very respectful and calm, but happy with a smile.  In my heart I was really happy she was there and that her fans, like me, could talk and meet her.

On to loot!  This came in the mail from amiami's English site Wed before I left, not the package mentioned above.  That was a cel pictured later in the post.

A nice surprise waiting for me after work.

When ordering from Japan I try to make the shipping worth it.  These two boxes of clear plastic images from Gundam 00 were on clearance.  I'm keeping one and going to see if I can sell or swap the other one through out the year.

This statue was really worth the investment.  You can't see it from here but there is a tree with wishes tied to the branches, a bench, and a lantern to go with the two girls from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.  I heavily regret not getting the nendoroid Itoshki Sensei when it was still in print.  This will make up for it.

Air is one of my favorite series.  Don't know why but I just really liked it.  This statue on the other hand is a little awkward.  It is one part of a set and I own the other which is of Kanna (name???) and that one is very pretty.  This was also on clearance and completes the set so for me it was still a good buy.  Splitting that nasty shipping charge between the four items came to a very reasonable price for each.

I really did not have time this week to take good pictures but here are the first two volumes of the Scrapped Princess novels.  I can't wait to read them!

This is the package that was giving me a dilemma but it was worth it.  It came with a sketch, no backround, and the lines are fading but I have always wanted a few cels in my collection and this is one of my favorite episodes from Slayers Next.

I mentioned a sale in a previous post about a cash coupon for a resin kit website.  This is what I ordered from them with it. The figure on the left is from the Pretear manga and on the right is Princess Tutu.

I ordered these from Hobby Search.  This year I'm addicted to Furoku (bonus materials with magazine) which is bad because the magazines are sooo expensive!  They are technically reasonable but they add up fast.  Even with shipping and the magazine, ordering the Vocaloid Petite Nendoroids were less expensive then getting them at the con at ANY booth.  I think the lowest price I saw for a box was $8 and the bootlegs look shinny and terrible.  Bootlegs are Not worth the discount!

This is most of the loot I bought at the actual convention.  Shinesmen was left out because I left it in the bag.  That is a whole lot of funny for $5. The top left are Axis Powers Hetalia charapos.  I'm trying to hunt them online but I might have to go through a service to get them at animate or something.  I do not want to pay 15-25 for one. 15 for two is still expensive but I know people to re-sell them to if I didn't like who I got which was America, Germany, Russia, shinny Russia, shinny France, and shinny England. Then there are two Axis Powers Hetalia plastic folders and a Spice and Wolf season II plastic folder.  The cel is from Violinist of Hamelin which I have a love/hate for which will be an entirely different post.  Clamp 3D land Volume 4.  I have four of 8 or 9 sets now.  The other sets are to expensive to collect them all but I have most of the characters I wanted.  The box has a set of two and one of my friends and I will by a box of these and split it.  There are two 8bit Mario sound drops, Kaworu from Evangelion and the long haired guy from Gintama.  The two character sound drops the same VA and my all time favorite which is why also bought the Kaworu figure from Eva.  There are two magazines and a paintJUMP from Eyeshield 21.  One of the mags came with a Gakuen Kino pencil case.  I like to get my hands on anything Kino no Tabi/Gakuen Kino. Then two Soul Eater trading figures.  While I would have liked to get Maka I ended up with Death the Kid and the older sister.  This isn't a set I plan to collect intirely.  I wanted a little something Soul Eater to commemorate the weekend because I did get to go to the VA and Producer signing.

More Manga

This week has been so busy and it won't slow down!  I'm alright with it though.  It has not been overwhelming and I was able to watch some anime which I actually have not done in a while.  Speaking of which the past two days I got some packages.  I'm now about 10 volumes away from owning all of Hana Kimi.  Now I'm not really into yaoi but I do think gender benders are funny and amusing.  Hana Kimi still falls in the shoujo category but some consider it to be BL.  I personally love the art and character development.  It is one of those series I did not like the first volume or so but kept with it and never looked back.  I can't wait to own all of it, at a discount price of coarse.

So much to watch!

Today I got in the mail the first season of Spice and Wolf, Sword of the Stranger, and all of Le Chevalier D'Eon.  While I have seen Sword of the Stranger and can easily watch Spice on Wolf on funimations streaming channels I really like both anime and want to watch them with friends.  Also, as much time as I spend on the computer it isn't in the best place for sitting back, relaxing and watching videos.

I'm still skeptical about Le Chevalier D'Eon because I hate ghosts and zombies which I hear it kind of has.  It was a low enough price to invest in that if I don't like it the box set will be a gift, trade, or decent re-sell.

If you haven't seen Sword of the Stranger and don't mind a little bit of blood go watch it now!  I was lucky enough to see it when it came out in theaters for, two days?  Yes, two days.  Not only that I was lucky enough to get a personal signed poster with a sketch of the blond guy from the producer of Sword of the Stranger which is hanging in a frame on my wall.  Two years in a row I was blessed with the opportunity  to go to Anime Expo and one of those times was the year he was there.  I do not believe I will ever be able to afford to go on my own so I hold those two years as a blessing. As for Spice and Wolf, I've only seen one episode but I love it like I do Kino's Journey.

Speaking of Kino's Journey, I almost won an auction for a slightly used copy of Cross of Venus for the DS Premium which came with the four nendoriods.  Unfortunately it ended very early in the morning and I do not want to get into the habit of losing sleep for auctions. It is a dangerous path!

Waiting for 5-6 packages!  Can't wait to share them!

Cash Coupon Sale

WARNING: The website linked has adult figures.  Be warned while browsing!
This website has some beautiful hard to get re-casts of different Garage Kits and for their 10th anniversary they have a lovely little discount on a cash gift card.  I personally am happy with this because GK's can add up and any little bit helps, especially when shipping is involved.  I hope the Princess Tutu and Pretear ones are still available when I get mine in the mail!

New Adventure with Koyuki from Beck

Why haven't I done this before?  I've always wanted to try blogging, even if no one reads.  This will be a fun experience to say the least.  Why Lemon Majel you wonder?  I like lemons and Majel is my middle name.  That is the most private information about myself I'll be posting.  Even if a few people read these posts I'm an overall paranoid person.

-I'd like to document my anime and manga collections to share with others or maybe get feedback and tips from fellow collectors.  Just a few weeks ago I met some people at a convention who had similar tastes.  Usually I'm the one with the connections or know how to get figures and DVDs for my friends but it was nice to talk to others in the same situation.  My goal is to post twice a month something from my collection or new items received in the mail.  When reading other peoples blogs it is always fun to see what they bought so I'll be sharing as well.  Hey, I'm not claiming to be original.

This is my 1/10th Koyuki from the manga series BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad which is one of my favorite series.  He came with the guitar in Volume 26 of the Japanese Manga.  I was lucky enough to get two of them a few years ago.  One cost around $35 while the other I nabbed on sale for about $15.  I gave the second one away to a buddy of mine who also loves the series.  He keeps it on a base with an LED lights.  It looks pretty cool.

Yes, the Vol. 4 Pick is missing from the picture frame.
